About the Event
The Youth Traditional Foods Preservation Program is one of our most successful and highly anticipated projects. This program teaches our youth and families how to safely process our traditional foods such as deer, elk, buffalo, roots and berries. They will learn how to cut, gut, and filet salmon and skin, quarter, and cut up deer, elk or buffalo. Afterwards they learn how to safely pressure can the food for future use.
